LGBTQI+ & Ally Space

We are an Emerging New Small Cross-Denominational, Democratic, and Community-Run Church for LGBTQ+ People, Straight Allies, and people of all faiths or none.

We meet in the heart of Birmingham every Sunday at 2pm.

We aim to be an affirming, joyful space for all.

This is a community for everyone. You are welcome to join in, no matter your beliefs or perspective on life. We celebrate many different perspectives and ways of following Jesus and having faith.

Affirming

We are uncompromisingly affirming of LGBT+ people and believe that all of God's children have been fearfully and wonderfully made with infinite beauty and diversity. Everyone is welcome because God welcomes everyone, no exceptions.

Church is for everyone, our community is open, full of discussion and ecumenical. We do church as a circle rather than in a line.

Birmingham Pride

We are so excited that Birmingham Pride Weekend is coming round again, and whether you are celebrating in the village or at events around the city, we would love to connect during the weekend.

Some members of the community will be joining the Birmingham Pride Parade/March in the city - you're welcome to join us as we march with Christians at Pride - send us a message below, and we'll forward the sign-up link.

We will have a social at 2pm at Eden Bar on Saturday, which is open to all (this is outside the official paid area).

We are meeting as usual at 2pm on Sunday for a Pride blessing gathering.

Gathering

We meet every Sunday at 2 pm in central Birmingham. We have a monthly communion gathering with live music, which is open to all. The other weeks of the month are dedicated to discussions, prayer, and Bible study with alternating facilitators from within the community.

Next Gathering Dates: 25th May, 1st June, 8th June, 15th June, 22nd June, 29th June, 6th July, 13th July, 20th July.

Access: Side door on 'Shaws Passage', our room is accessible via a ramp.

Our WhatsApp community is how we stay connected. We have an announcement group that keeps you up to date with all the latest community information.

We also have groups for chatting, music, governance, trips & prayer which you can choose to join if you are interested.

Safeguarding is a vital part of our church as we build our community. You can download our policy below. Our safeguarding policy is written by and approved by our members.
